This Peer Supporter position works collaboratively with Portage County Jobs & Family Services as a

key member of the treatment team to help parents engage into mental health and addiction

treatment to more quickly and successfully reunite with their children who are in temporary care.

Job Duties Include:

  • Providing Peer Support Services to individuals involved in the OhioSTART program
  • Working collaboratively with Jobs & Family Services to help ensure successful completion of case plans
  • Documenting services in electronic record
  • Participating in family team meetings

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Peer Recovery Supporter certification
  • MUST have lived experience with mental health, substance use, and Child Protective Services involvement
  • Willing to get NPI and Medicaid Billing number (we’ll help!)
  • Maintain excellent driving record
