Overview

The Material Handler/Stockroom Inventory Associate works primarily with the Stockroom Manager, inventory managers, buyers, and shop supervisors. The Material Handler/Stockroom Inventory Associate utilizes our MRP software Global Shop Solutions, to keep track of incoming and outgoing inventory, UPS Worldship for shipping out orders, as well as assisting our Assembly Technicians with parts.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Review work production orders and parts orders on a daily basis, making sure that all items needed are either on order or in process; identify missing or needed parts and report to buyers
  • Check the received goods against the ordered goods and correspond with correct department regarding any issues
  • Work with purchasing department regarding the return of defective, damaged or other goods not meeting the required standards
  • Box and pack materials in a stockroom for customer delivery
  • Deliver stockroom materials and parts to internal customers on shop floor
  • Assist stockroom manager in organizing and managing stockroom
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary
  • Performs other related duties as requested

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail
  • Proficient in English

  • Execute operational processes effectively and efficiently
  • Flexible to perform a variety of duties to support the needs of the company
  • Must be able to work standing for long periods of time
  • Tech savvy: comfortable with mobile devices, tablets and computers
  • Ability to maneuver around shop floor, stockroom, up and down stairs, and office
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend written plans in English
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and understand fine measurement ie. 32nds and 64ths of an inch
  • Must be present on-site to complete job
