Food Coordinator

Part-Time (29 hours/week)

$12.00/hour

 

 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for daily/weekly senior nutrition meals, community, congregate meals twice a week, special holiday meals such as annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, Annual Christmas Luncheon, Easter Luncheon, Soul Food Luncheon.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate food preparation
Check Temperatures before and after preparation.
Provide assignments to volunteers assigned to kitchen
Regularly monitor food inventories for needed meal supplies.
Clean dining area after meals.
Clean kitchen after meals
Make sure bathrooms are clean.
Pick up donated food.
Comply with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, Ohio Summer Food      Service Program regulations, federal and state requirements.
Responsible for grocery shopping
Attend food trainings
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of food service procedures for preparation, proper storing, handling, and      distribution of foods in large quantities.
Maintain a clean, neat appearance at all times.
Ability to give and receive direction, and organize tasks.
Ability to assign and oversee workers to achieve efficient daily production.
Flexibility and capacity to function as part of the agency team.

EDUCATION:  N/A

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, lift, walk and stand for extended periods during scheduled shift. Ability to lift 30-40 pounds.
